Florida Citrus Sports CEO Steve Hogan and Atlantic Coast Conference Commissioner John Swofford have announced a partnership agreement for the 2010-13 Champs Sports Bowls. The agreement with the ACC will bring Orlando the second pick after the Bowl Championship Series selection (i.e. the conference's third overall pick) to play against the top non-BCS team from the BIG EAST Conference or Notre Dame.

Florida Citrus Sports Chief Executive Officer Steve Hogan announced today that the 2009 Champs Sports Bowl will be played at 8:00 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, December 29. In addition, the NCAA Football Issues Committee extended licensing for both the Champs Sports Bowl and the New Years Day-stalwart Capital One Bowl.

Florida Citrus Sports and ESPN announced the 2007 Champs Sports Bowl will be played at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28. The game, the first of two bowls hosted in Orlando, will air nationwide on ESPN.

The Capital One and Champs Sports bowls will feature a pair of top-flight matchups this year, and as the games approach, players from the schools involved are garnering attention with both national and conference awards. In addition, ESPN personality Kirk Herbstreit last night called the Capital One Bowl his choice as this year’s “most intriguing” bowl game.
