Louisville's big win over Rutgers last night gave Syracuse a share of the Big East title, but the Cardinals will likely earn the BCS berth. While the Orange won't be headed to the Orange Bowl, they could be paying a visit to Orange County this holiday season.

The Wolfpack have had a tumultuous season in 2011, going from a victory over then-No. 3 Florida State in October to a coaching change at the end of the season. The Wolfpack have had more appearances in what is now the Russell Athletic Bowl than any other team and could be in line for another appearance in 2012.

Championship Week has arrived, and the stakes could hardly be higher for either team. At stake is not just a conference title, but also an Orange Bowl berth. Based on records alone (10-2 Florida State v. 6-6 Georgia Tech), the game appears to be a mismatch, but when there's this much at stake, never count out an underdog.

With the ACC Championship Game still to play, Georgia Tech's bowl picture remains fuzzy. A win over Florida State in Charlotte would send the Yellow Jackets to the BCS. A loss to the Seminoles might remove them from bowl contention altogether at 6-7. If the Jackets are granted a waiver to allow postseason play, they could bring the nation's third-b...

The Louisville Cardinals and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights face off this weekend in the de facto Big East championship game. Though a Louisville win will force a three-way tie in conference standings, the Cardinals would still earn the automatic BCS bid due to tiebreakers. The Scarlet Knights can earn that BCS berth outright with a victory.

The bowl picture is slowly starting to emerge but the few remaining games will have a big impact on final selection. The Big East remains a bit of a mystery until Thursday's de facto conference championship game in Piscataway between Rutgers and Louisville. Cincinnati also remains in contention with a game this weekend against UConn. Syracuse at 7-...
