Nobody had a better week than Virginia Tech cornerback Antone Exum.
Earlier this week Exum gave his Best Buy gift cards to three kids in need and gained national attention. ESPN, CBS and many other media outlets praised his actions.
He was a star at the Give Kids the World Village dancing and playing games with the children.
And now he’s the 2012 Russell Athletic Bowl MVP after Virginia Tech defeated Rutgers 13-10 in overtime.

ACC Week 13 Preview

The ACC has plenty on tap this weekend, including some very good rivalries.

No. 4 Florida (10-1, 7-1 SEC) and No. 10 Florida State (10-1, 7-1 ACC) has almost become like a national championship semi-final provided some teams lose.

After Miami (6-5, 4-3 ACC) self-imposed another bowl ban this week, Duke (6-5, 3-4 ACC) still needs a win to improve their bowl position. We gave that game an extended look with a weekend spotlight.

Virginia Tech (5-6, 3-4 ACC) takes on Virginia (4-7, 2-5 ACC) with a chance to go to their sixth consecutive bowl. The Hokies lead the ACC in sacks with almost three a game.

Georgia Tech (6-5, 5-3 ACC) heads to No. 3 Georgia (10-1, 7-1 SEC). The Yellow Jackets have the best run offense in the ACC and is third nationally with 324 yards a game. Georgia ranks in the middle of all teams nationally with over 150 rushing yards allowed per game.

No. 11 Clemson (10-1, 7-1 ACC) has BCS at-large hopes on the line when they host rival No. 12 South Carolina (9-2, 6-2 SEC). The Tigers haven't dropped a game at home since losing to the Gamecocks in 2010.

NC State (6-5, 3-4 ACC) looks to rebound after a 62-48 loss to Clemson last week as they take on Boston College (2-9, 1-6 ACC). The Wolfpack has the nations 16th best passing offense as they average over 300 yards a game.

North Carolina (7-4, 4-3 ACC) looks to have an eight win season for the first time since 2010 as they take on Maryland (4-7, 2-5 ACC). Despite offensive woes, Maryland has the second best pass defense in the ACC. They give up less than 200 yards passing a
game.
In other non-conference action, Wake Forest (5-6, 3-5 ACC) hosts Vanderbilt (7-4, 5-3 SEC) as the Demon Deacons look to go to consecutive bowls for the first time since 2007-08.
